Career guidance for kids

On its home page http://www.kids.gov/, shows its relevance, for kids between grades K-5 and 6-8, by providing information on Test Taking Tips, Martin Luther King Jr., Constitution and Careers; enabling children to learn more about themselves, their country, and their purpose. In this month of February also known as the African American History Month kids, parents, and educators have an opportunity to learn more about the struggles of African American to become accepted citizens. I think the site is suitable for children, since at these ages they are pretty inquisitive, and think they can do everything. This site, to me provides the opportunity for them to read, and acquire information guided by their parents, before choosing their career. This site seems to be a good classroom motivational tool and one which may enable each child to recognise the importance of others.

Great software for kids

The site http://www.funbrain.com/ seems to be quite relevant, as children between levels k through 8 show lots of interests in cartoon characters, which may serve as a form of motivation to them. Incorporating games such as baseball, and car racing into math, help stimulate the children’s mind, allowing them to focus for longer periods; and at the same time gaining allot more practise in the subject area(s) while having fun in playing their favourite games. Thus the jobs of parents and teachers are made allot easier, where they can go on preparing other work for the children to keep them preoccupied. This site is quite suitable for American parents, kids, and teachers, as its content is based on America. It may be also useful for parents with children between the ages of 0-6, 7-11, and 12-18, who may wanted to find out more about their kids likes and dislikes. Teachers may also find this website useful as it may help them prepare their lessons plans, and providing them with tips on classroom management.
